PROBLEM:

As a relatively new and growing business, Laura wanted to be able to attract and retain staff. Protect365 and Pen-gage worked together to come up with a cost effective solution to offer benefits to new and existing members of staff. Laura was concerned if something happened to her, the business would struggle to continue in the short term and possibly longer term.


SOLUTION:

After speaking to Laura about the services she could utilise to attract and retain talent, we decided to look at death in service for new and existing staff. We worked together to come up with a formula to calculate the amount of cover that had to functions, to be affordable to a new business and to offer enough cover to staff. Once we had this information, Chris at Protect365 sent out our bespoke fact find that can be simply completed on mobile, which would enable him to get offers in place. Once we were happy with the decisions, we could get the cover in place.

Chris also discussed Key Person cover with Laura, which would provide a cash injection to the business should Laura become critically ill or died.


OUTCOME:

Once we had the cover in place for existing staff, Pen-gage could use this to attract new talent as part of their EAP (Employee Assistance Programme). This has helped them recruit and bring new people on board to match the growth of the business.


Long term, Pen-gage has the cover in place so the business can continue and we have also provided workplace Wills for new and existing staff, further strengthening the offering Pen-gage have for new recruits in a busy and competitive market. Laura now has a competitive edge when it comes to recruitment with this cost effective solution.
